Learning Foreign Languages

Learning Foreign Languages

The topic I want to talk about today is necessity of learning Foreign Languages. They can open many doors for your career, enable professional empowerment. Help you to build your career in an international company or to get a kick-start for your career. Most corporations do not consider candidates who doesn’t have international competences. Perfect candidate these days needs to be a superhuman, collaborating with foreigners easily, and, preferably, using three or more languages. So the more languages you have in your arsenal, the better it is.

“As many languages you know, as many times you are a human being.” (Anton Chekhov)

In addition to this, each new language gives you access to the new information sources, participation opportunities for international conferences. Haven’t convinced you just yet?

Take a look on the following videos of people who speaks many foreign languages and listen to their experience:

  1. Tim Doner speaks over 20 languages while still studying in school. This video has made my day. The kid knows how it is done. He is a left-hander, by the way.
  2. Bennie Lewis on TEDx SanAntonio is explaining How to overcome problems and barriers you facewhile learning a new language.

There are many apps just sitting on the Internet and waiting for you such as Duolingo, Ballel, Memrise, Busuu or AnkiApp, just check them out and choose the once that you like the most.

Remember, that the most important thing is to start.
